8K8's Review Method, Written Down
Elsewhere on this site we explain how to read somebody else's best-casinos list. It would be hypocritical not to publish our own method, so here it is. 8K8 is an independent guide: no gaming licence, no deposits taken, no games operated, no access to anybody's account. Nothing below produces a score, because we do not publish scores.
The method in one sentence
We read what an operator publishes, check the part of it that can be checked against an independent source, and report the gaps as gaps rather than filling them in. That is all a publisher in our position can honestly do, and most of the value is in the gaps.
It is worth being explicit about the direction of the work, too. We start from the operator's own published pages and move outward to independent sources, rather than starting from what other affiliate sites say and tidying it up. Most bad information in this market is recycled: one site invents a withdrawal time, a dozen copy it, and after a year it reads like consensus. Refusing to copy is most of the method.
Eight criteria and the evidence we accept
| Criterion | Evidence we accept | Not accepted as evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Licence disclosure | A named corporate entity and regulator, matched against the regulator's public register | A badge image, a number in a footer, or another site's claim |
| Payment rails | Methods, limits and fees as published by the operator today | Screenshots, forum reports, or our own recollection |
| Terms clarity | Wagering, maximum conversion and void-bet rules, findable before deposit | A promotional headline |
| KYC rules | Identity requirements stated up front in the terms or help centre | Support chat transcripts we cannot authenticate |
| Complaint route | A published escalation path beyond live chat | A promise of fast resolution |
| Responsible-gaming tools | Documented deposit limits, cool-off and self-exclusion | A logo in the footer |
| Support channels | Channels and stated hours, inside the product | Phone numbers found in search results |
| App distribution | How a client is distributed and what permissions it requests | Download pages, which we never link |
What we can establish
Four things, reliably. Whether a licensing claim names an entity that actually appears on a regulator's public register. Whether the published terms contradict the published promotion. Whether responsible-gaming tools and a complaint route are documented at all. And how Philippine payment rails behave as systems, because that is public: InstaPay settles in real time subject to a per-transaction cap, while PESONet batches and settles on banking days.
Note the shape of that list. It is about documents, not about outcomes.
What we cannot establish, and never assert
- Actual payout speed, fees or minimums for your account. Those are set by the operator; its cashier page is the only live source.
- Approval rates, dispute outcomes or how support treated anybody else.
- Game fairness. We do not audit randomness and nobody should claim to from the outside.
- Bonus values and licence numbers quoted from memory or copied from another site.
- Anything beginning we tested, we deposited, or we withdrew. No such testing took place.
There is also no named human reviewer on this site, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. A byline would imply a person who sat with the product, and inventing one to look credible is the same species of dishonesty as inventing a payout time.
No scores, no rankings, and why
A score compresses incomparable things behind an invisible weighting, and the weighting is where the selling happens. The criteria above matter differently to different players: somebody withdrawing ₱500 to GCash each week cares most about rails and KYC, while somebody who has had a dispute cares only about the complaint route. Publishing the checks lets you apply your own weighting. Publishing a 9.2 would hide ours.
The same logic explains why you will not find a best for payouts or fastest withdrawals heading anywhere on this site. Those are claims about outcomes we cannot observe, dressed as categories. A category is a promise that somebody measured something, and we did not.
Links, money and what it does not move
Assume that outbound links here may be partner links and that a commission can be earned when someone opens an account after following one. That is the ordinary economics of this kind of site and pretending otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on the page. What it does not buy: a criterion removed, a warning softened, an ordering changed, or a number invented. The test of that claim is the section above, which is a list of everything we refuse to say.
When a page goes out of date
Operators change terms, rails and limits without telling publishers. Every page here carries a published and a modified date so you can judge how stale you are reading, and the operator's own cashier and terms pages are authoritative where we are not. If a page here conflicts with what the operator says today, the operator is right and the page needs fixing.
8K8 is an independent guide, not a casino. It accepts no deposits, runs no games, cannot release a withdrawal and cannot access an account. Gambling is for adults 21 and over.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you score or rank operators?
No. We publish the criteria and the evidence standard for each one, including what we could not establish, and leave the weighting to the reader.
What counts as proof of a licence for you?
A named corporate entity that appears on the regulator's own public register. A badge image or a number in a footer is a design element, not evidence.
Have you deposited and withdrawn to test these operators?
No, and we will not write that we have. Our method covers published documents and independently checkable claims only.
Why are there no payout times on this site?
Because they are set by the operator and change without notice. Any figure we printed would be a guess with a date on it; the cashier page is the only current source.
Do partner links influence what you write?
Commission can be earned on some links, and it changes no criterion, no warning and no ordering. If it did, the method on this page would be worthless.
